COLUMBUS" Hunters ages 17 and younger checked 9,759 white-tailed deer during Ohio's youth gun hunting season on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22 and 23, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. Each fall, youth hunters enjoy a weekend of deer hunting with a firearm before the statewide gun season begins.
